I recently discovered that iNaturalist allows users to download csv's of existing projects. Here are some graphs I made for some of the larger projects. The main packages used were geopandas, to create the GeoDataFrame object, matplotlib to plot the geography and observations, and imageio to string together the individual png files into a gif.
